According to Kenneth Takyi Agyapong, Director of Television at Kencity Media, Kwabena Kwakye, better known as Wofa KK, was a well-known radio personality whose life would have been saved if not for the traffic jam they faced.
He claims that in the wee hours of February 14, 2024, Wofa KK lost consciousness. He asked for assistance, and two automobiles hurried to take Wofa to the hospital; however, the traffic in the Okponglo area hindered their timely arrival.
In a YouTube video, the director described what happened. He said that when they arrived at the traffic area, he got out of the car, took off his shoes, and rushed across the road to beg the other drivers to give way. However, they refused to move.
“Going to the hospital, we went with two cars, and with double hazard lights, we were able to make our way from the office area through to Okponglo. With the hazards on and the continued honking, nobody was willing to make way for us.
“I got out of the car, took off my footwear, and ran through the middle of the road to ask the drivers to make way for us. Even with that, nobody was minding us.
“To be honest, yesterday, I got to know that some drivers are really wicked. I am saying that because if it were a Land Cruiser car, they would have given way. Ours was two cars honking through just to get him to the hospital,” he stated.
On February 14, Kwabena Kwakye, a well-known radio host, passed away after arriving at work and passing out during a show.
